- The action is a complex system with several screws, springs, wood and felt parts that make 88 notes.

- Each key removed from the piano.

- Removing the keys exposes the area underneath.
- Cleaning and vacuuming this area can improve performance.
- While exposed the rail pins and felt bushings are easy to inspect.

- This is a good time to consider replacing the center and front rail bushings, the materials are reasonable and the extra labor is minimal while the piano is apart. (see package pricing)
