Dust and debris often collects on the soundboard of grand pianos. These foreign items can have a negative effect on the sound quality produced when playing the piano. Removing foreign matter, dust and debris usually provides a noticeable improvement in the sound quality. We have special tools that allow us to reach many (not all) of the hard to reach areas under the strings of a grand piano.
The current price for this service includes up to 45 minute of soundboard cleaning work. This allows ample time for addressing most dust and debris issues. Removing heavy build up or grime requires the use of solvents and is not included, with this service.
